OU SPJ holds Web workshop

Hello SPJ members,
Last Tuesday’s meeting covered the basics of coding a personal website. We used Adobe Dreamweaver to piece together elementary code and skin it with basic CSS. The goal of the meeting was to provide journalists with a working knowledge of how coding works and to give members tips for future coding endeavors.

If you’re interested in coding, a great class to take is Intro to Web Design offered in the School of Visual Communication. Additionally, there is an advanced coding class offered next quarter.

OU SPJ will continue to offer workshops to its members each quarter. Past workshops have focused on InDesign, Audacity, Final Cut Pro and Dreamweaver. If you’re interested in a program and would like to see our chapter hold a workshop covering that program, feel free to e-mail us at ohiouspj@gmail.com or leave a comment below.
As always, we hope to see you at our next meeting tonight at 5 p.m. in Scripps! Have a great Tuesday!
